As we in the West gather with loved ones to celebrate the joy and hope of Christmas over the next twelve days, let us turn our hearts to our Orthodox and Catholic Christian brothers and sisters in Gaza. For more than eighteen months, they have endured relentless suffering and hardship, yet their unwavering faith remains a powerful testament to the hope found in Christ.
Al Jazeera recently interviewed Ramez Al-Souri of the Church of Saint Porphyrios in Gaza, whose words embody resilience and the courage shared by all who remain steadfast in the face of adversity.
