Urgent Financial Assistance Needed for young Orthodox woman in need of a kidney
The Holy Orthodox Order of Saint George the Great Martyr, at the personal request of the Grand Knight, will be raising monetary assistance for Ms. Alexandra King, a 27-year-old Orthodox Christian woman who was recently diagnosed with End-Stage Kidney Disease.
Alexandra is a kind, gentle and outstanding young lady, who not only loves Christ and His Holy Church, but also, attempts to assist those less fortunate than herself. She spends her free-time making food parcels for the homeless and distributing them amongst the poor of New York City. She emulates a grace that is godly and worthy of our attention.
Alexandra and her family are in a desperate search to find a live kidney donor, as her kidney is presently functioning at only 8% capacity. She has a B+ blood type and can only accept kidney donors who have blood types B or O.
Please Note: If you are considering or would like to be a living kidney donor, visit https://cornell.donorscreen.org/register/now to answer a brief, confidential questionnaire, then speak with an experienced transplant coordinator who will answer all your questions.
The Order is seeking to raise at least $20,000 to help offset any medical or financial expenses Alexandra and her family might incur because of this medical condition. Please help the Order meet this immediate need by donating any amount that you can to help us in this worthy cause for a remarkable young lady.
Tax-deductible donations can be made on this website through the Donate button. In your donation, please indicate it is for Alexandra King. All donations for this special emergency fundraiser go 100% directly to that purpose. The Order will retain nothing. This fundraiser will last until May 1st, 2022.
Please keep Alexandra and her family in your prayers!
We thank you for joining with us in our mission, and may the Lord bless you and your families!
UPDATE: The Order would like to thank everyone for their generous donations towards this cause. Because of your kindness, the Order was able to raise and send to Alexandra $6,148.55.
